Bringing data to life: Join our new webinars to discover how numbers help shape the nation

Raw data are all around us. Ever wondered how they are translated into statistics for tracking the cost of living or understanding the health of our population?

These and other big topics are on the agenda as we launch our new webinar series: Bringing data to life.

Throughout the series, we’ll take you on a journey through the life cycle of statistics, revealing how they are created to help people make better choices and improve the public services we all rely on.

The first four events are now available to register on Eventbrite. They are free and open to anyone who wants to know more about how our nation’s statistics are created. You’ll have the chance to hear from experts across government and participate in quizzes, ask questions, and share your thoughts.

In our first webinar, airing Monday 30 September, we’re joined by the Chief Statisticians for Wales and Northern Ireland as we discuss the difference between statistics and data, how official statistics are produced and used to make a difference, and how we keep your data safe and secure.

Each webinar will be available through Eventbrite and will also be recorded and put on YouTube for you to watch later.
